Congress, YSRCP leaders become relatives






Rajahmundry, Feb 15: They may fight against each other on public platforms. But they put shawls on each other's shoulders solemnizing a new bonding through a marriage.

The marriage of the YSR Congress Central Governing Council member Jakkampudi Vijaya Lakshmi's daughter Sridharma Sindhu Sahasra with Congress MLA Kottapalli Subba Rayudu's son Bhujanga Rayalu was performed in grand style here on Thursday.

Leaders of both parties graced the occasion and blessed the couple. Those who attended the marriage included Y S Jaganmohan Reddy's mother YS vijayamma, wife YS Bharati, union minister Chiranjeevi, state ministers Kanna Lakshmi Narayana, Pitani Satyanarayana, MPs KVP Ramachandra Rao, Kavuri Sambasiva Rao, Harsha Kumar, Arun Kumar, YSRCP leaders Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose, Jyothula Nehru, Ambati Rambabu, Vangaveeti Radha, Kakinada MLA Dwarampudi Chandrasekhar Reddy, Payakaraopet MLA Babu Rao and film actor Suman.

It may be mentioned that Kothapalli Subbarayudu defeated YSR Congress candidate Prasada Raju in the by-election in 2012. Kottapalli who was a former minister of TDP joined PRP of Chiranjeevi and was defeated in 2009. He joined the Congress when Chiru merged his party. Chiru influenced Congress high command and fielded him as the party's candidate in the by-elections last year. Jakkampudi Vijaya Lashmi is the wife of late minister Jakkampudi Rama Mohan Rao. Jakkampudu was a die-hard follower of YSR and he joined the YSRCP when Jagan launched his new party.
